What i love from building games is freedom. I am not into the city-builder type like sim city, but more of a builder in an open world game like minecraft or a defense-base builder like Clash of Clans. Games that have a building game mechanic like minecraft and clash of clans require lots of creativity or strategy. Therefore, training my creativity and strategic thinking, as well as putting it to the test.
I really enjoy games that have a "protect a target" game mechanic. One of the games i play that has this game mechanic is MORDHAU. Basically, during an invasion, the king must be protected at all costs until the time is up. I find this interesting since lots of teamwork and strategy is required. The actions of every team member matters, making the gameplay more intense since everyone has to be more careful and strategic.
I do not really enjoy games with a "dialogue tree" game mechanic since i find it annoying. I don't have an interest on progressing through games by picking on which dialogue since every outcome of it is uncertain. Therefore, i prefer games that already has a clear storyline but still have the freedom to change the storyline based on actions, not by dialogue. One of the example of games with lots of dialogue trees is The Witcher.
Games with a "Spinning Plate" game mechanic isn't really a game i usually fancy. This is because i find it quite boring since all you have to do is multitask and use common sense. An example of a game that has this game mechanic is Diner Dash.
After using the random mechanic generator, i got 3 random game mechanics.
