I really enjoy open world game because it feels very real. The world basically changes based on your actions, imitating a real life experience. Open world games also allows us to experiment stuff, like in GTA for example, where you can fly a plane and try to jump off it mid air. Open world games seems to be never ending, theres always new things you can do since it is like a massive sandbox.
First person games are immersive. You're thrown into the shoes of the character you're playing as. It gives you an added layer of depth when interacting with your environment. This is then combine with guns, where you can exchange fire with random people in a multiplayer lobby, giving off a sense of dominance, power and satisfaction being able to kill an opponent in a game. FPS games also require fine motor control with the player needing to: move around, view the environment, dodge or cover from fire, while accurately aiming and taking into account other in game physics factors. These factors make me enjoy playing fps games
I personally dont like playing MOBA games like DOTA or League of legends because they're too competitive for me to enjoy. Plus there's too much room for error, especially if you don't know how to play your character just right. It also feels really boring and pointless, like playing chess over and over. I don't see the point if my brain tells me I'm not having fun.
